Casa Mila, with its large garden, was constructed before 1390. It is older than the palazzi that line the main streets though less refined in design. The house was built on a regular plan with square rooms that are light and airy. All the rooms have a pleasant outlook; the windows on the front look across the street to the palazzo opposite and its garden. The windows at the back look out on the garden. All the ceilings are timbered and the floors original terracotta tiles. The furnishings are simple, modern and well coordinated.
Weekly bookings from Saturday to Saturday.
Laundry facilities available.
The old Italian garden, shaded by a huge magnolia tree and surrounded by low box hedges and flower beds is ideal for outdoor living. We encourage guests to share it with us. A gas barbecue, garden tables and chairs are available. From the garden there is a gate that provides a secondary means of access directly onto Via Castellina.
Sleeps 2 people.
Opening off the main hallway, there is a small vestibule from which opens three rooms. To the right a double bedroom, with the original large elevated fireplace, overlooks Via Firenzuola. Ahead, the bathroom with shower, sink, bidet and toilet. Left is the living room/kitchen with French doors opening directly onto the garden. The kitchen is well-equipped and the room is bright with a view of the lawn and the large magnolia tree.
